English is the most frequently used language in the sports world, during technical meetings, competitions, refereeing, or press conferences. Yet today, a large majority of the staff, including coaches, referees and managers have difficulties in expressing themselves in English. This issue sometimes results in serious problems during the international qualifications. As well as that, the expected performances cannot be done during the delegation meetings in European and international means. The TENG-SPORTS project aims at improving the level of Technical Language of English for Sports (TLES) of sports coaches, referees and managers in the field of Handball and Athletism by introducing vocational training programs which meet their English needs. Apart from developing these new tools, the project also aims at disseminating the results obtained from the previous projects that it is based on (The English Speaking Sports World and Partnership of Technical English in Sport).                                                                 

The needs of sectors and target groups / end users will be analysed and basing on the state-of-the art the programs covering the needs at different levels will be elaborated. The end users having different backgrounds will be given access to the related VET courses of which the relevant institutions can easily use. The partnership, inspired by the complementary experiences of four European countries and diverse organizations that intend to work together on this issue. By taking into account the variety of training offers in Europe, the reality of the needs of sportspeople, partners wish to create VET methodology which can easily be adapted to other European countries and other languages. GU, INSEP, MET and AGHSM play a major role in the training of its sports public, and also in the acquisition of key skills concerning this professional environment. They deliver diplomas, organize continuing education, work on the evolution of sports careers, training courses and curricula.

The tangible results will be the creation of VET English programmes destined to reach the bodies in charge of training coaches, referees, managers, sport students, vocational institutions, that is to say, universities in charge of sports, federations, sporting institutes, etc. This project will include a methodological guide and an interactive learning tool for TLES which will also allow sportspeople to master the TLES more easily. The intangible results will be a better collaboration between training institutions, a broader sharing of know-how between sports professionals, and an improvement in professional efficiency. The impact of the project consists in participating in the improvement of teaching English within training institutions and related national bodies specialized in sports careers. It also consists in facilitating access to the key skills necessary for their vocational training, in particular those relative to the mastery of TLES, for sports persons.

The general objectives of this project are to develop innovative approaches in terms of quality assurance in technology education and to adapt the content and supply of technology education to suit new qualification needs (ICT, work related training etc.) under a flexible curricula through cooperation between educational and professional establishments in Europe.
The specific aims of the project is to develop innovative approaches in terms of the quality, effectiveness and attractiveness of Technology education, to strengthen the capacity of the international profession to address technology education's developmental and implementation needs by enhancing the networking and interaction ability of national, regional and international associations, to provide recognition of Technology Education as a significant competent in the development of viable and competitive economies through the development of human resources, to provide recognition of the diverse and life-long nature of Technology Education and importance of the complex interactions between technological, social and natural environments, to adapt the content and supply of technology education to suit new qualification needs (including ICT and Work related training) through cooperation between educational and training establishments and enterprises, to create a set of standards for European Technology Education Qualifications to be transparent and recognised at all levels and an all countries concerned, develop new high quality curricula and training materials, to realise international cooperation between educational and training establishments and enterprises on national and European basis, to enhance employment standards of technology education graduates and make them competitive in the job market by flexible training system and modules and to ensure further mobility of technology education students within European programmes, opening up technology education systems to the wider world.

Önceki yıl yine Ankara Kalkınma Ajansınca desteklenen ve Mart 2013 döneminde başarılı bir şekilde tamamlanan “Ankara Engel Tanımaz” projesinin daha kapsamlı ve sistematik bir altyapı çerçevesinde genişletilmesini amaçlayan Öncü Ankara: Entegre Engelli Sporcu Destek Birimi projesi kapsamında değişik branşlarda engelli bireylere birebir ön beceri eğitiminin verileceği bir tesis kurulması planlanmaktadır. Temin edilecek binada özel eğitim almış antrenörler eşliğinde 11 branşta engelli bireylere randevu sistemi çerçevesinde birebir olarak özel hazırlanmış eğitim programları çerçevesinde 90-100 saatlik ön beceri eğitimlerinin yürütülmesi planlanmıştır. Bazı gelişmiş ülkelerde bulunmakta olup, Türkiye’de ilk kez oluşturulacak olan bu birim sayesinde engelli bireylere engel durumlarının özgünlüğüne bağlı olarak özel hazırlanmış salonlarda birebir ön beceri eğitimi sunulması ve böylelikle dezavantajlarından yapmak istedikleri spora ilişkin risk faktörlerinin en aza indirilerek, engellilerin profesyonel spor yaşamlarına sistematik bir temel çerçevesinde adapte edilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. 

Projenin hedef grupları Ankara ve çevresinde yasayan ve her türlü engel düzeyine sahip çocuk ve gençler ile aileleridir. Proje kapsamında bedensel engelli, işitme engelli, görme engelli ve özel engelli gruplarına dahil olan çocuk ve gençlere hizmet verilmesi öngörülmektedir. Bu çerçevede, proje ekibi ve projenin uzmanları söz konusu çocuk ve gençler ile engel grubu ve sağlık raporuna bağlı olarak bireysel ön beceri eğitim programlarını oluşturacaklar ve merkezde birebir yapılacak pilot çalışmalarla söz konusu programı uygulayacaklardır. Pilot çalışmalar 150'ser kişilik iki grup halinde toplam 300 engelli çocuk ve genç ile yapılacaktır. Yapılacak olan pilot çalışmalar daha önce Ankara Engel Tanımaz projesi kapsamında sertifikalandırılan 41 antrenöre ilave olarak Judo, Masa Tenisi, Badminton, Bilardo, Jimnastik, Satranç, Okçuluk, Tenis, Basketbol ve Voleybol alanlarında revize edilen yeni programlar çerçevesinde sertifikalandırılacak antrenörler esliğinde ve özel eğitim salonlarında birebir uygulamalar seklinde olacaktır. Söz konusu dallarda faaliyet gösterecek beceri salonlarına ilave olarak engelli bireylerin motor becerilerin ölçülüp değerlendirileceği bir temel beceri eğitim salonu da faaliyet gösterecektir. Ayrıca, söz konusu merkezde ihtiyaç duyulan ilave uzmanlıklar da (özel eğitim uzmanı, psikolog, psikolojik rehberlik ve danışma uzmanı, sosyal hizmet uzmanı, fizyoterapist) bütünleşik olarak yer alacaktır. Bu çerçevede, programdan yararlanan engelli ailelerine de gerekli hizmetler sunulacaktır.

Projenin hedef grupları Ankara bölgesinde yaşamakta olup yetersizliği olan dezavantajlı çocuk ve gençler, söz konusu çocuk ve gençlerin aileleridir. Projenin diğer hedef grupları ise Ankara dışındaki illerde çocuk ve gençlik hizmetlerinde bulunan kamu kuruluşları ve sivil toplum örgütleridir. Proje kapsamında yürütülecek faaliyetler ile pilot olarak Ankara ili ve çevresinde yaşayan 150 çocuk ve gencin belirlenen özel eğitim programları çerçevesinde 12 farklı spor branşı içerisinden (atletizm, yüzme, taekwondo, cimnastik, badminton, buz pateni, judo, basketbol, voleybol, hentbol, at biniciliği, tenis) belirlenecek en uygun branşa yönelik olarak sportif eğitim almaları ve bu sayede sosyal yaşama daha fazla katılım ve motivasyon sağlamaları öngörülmektedir.

 

Bu çerçevede, Ankara Gençlik Hizmetleri ve Spor İl Müdürlüğü bünyesinde ve dışında 12 farklı branştan toplam 55 antrenör 80 saatlik özel eğitim programına tabii tutulmuş ve başarılı olan 41 antrenöre uluslararası sertifikasyon sistemine ve AB Bologna sürecine uygun olarak sertifika verilmiştir. Projenin Anıttepe Yüzme Havuzu Tesislerinde kurulan koordinasyon ofisinde engelli bireyler ve aileleriyle görüşmeler yapılarak proje uzmanları ve antrenörlerin ortak çalışması sonucunda her bir katılımcı engelli için bireysel spor eğitimi programları oluşturulmuştur.

Design of horizontal axis press and calibration machine for wheel rim production

Summary:

In this project, Wheel rim bearing and calibration process are intended to effect with horizontal axis press. R&D Works related to production of the prototype machine and design which use of molds. Studies carried out with rim manufacturer Jantsa Wheels Industy and Trade Inc. which is the top five in this area in the world and or country.

Two types(flaring to wheel rim bearing pattern and calibration pattern) of molds will be designed according to use to the same press in mold design department. 6 different wheel rim types(10x38”,11x38”, 12x38”, 13x38”, 14x38” ve 15x38”) will be studied for tractors and agriculture vehicles. Flaring to wheel rim bearing and calibration process aimed to perform on horizontal axis press with these patterns.Pattern change time will be shorter, designed machine can make two different operations in the same press.  The demo wheel rim produced with designed prorotype machine and makes a test and it will concluded to confimed design.

The R&D qualification of project is press machine to be used in wheel rim; there is no production in our country and wolrd, it makes production efficent, the pattern change time can reduce 15 minutes with system. Also the machine will be patented. Due to developed system targeted to reduce energy costs, more efficent production process and improve costumer statisfaction.

Flaring to wheel rim bearing process will be able to equal pressure forming with designed press according to horizontal working principal. Compression effect will diffuse at the same rate on the material due to equal pulse from both axis. Production wills providetp proper measurment values at will. The pattern can be designed in accoring to this machine; it can move and removed on vertical axis with cranes. Changing can be in shorter time in the same way when necessery to change mold. Any damages will be prevented by horizontal designed machine that friction and pressure force will be less. However the quality of wheel rim will be gain desired result.  After production opearstions, designed with the same machine will be make calibration measurements. The quality of material will be analyzed and confirmed according to measurements.

The four step method shall be followed, literature search, machine-pattern design, installation of prototype horizontal press machine, press machine production, demo production with protptype press machine, forming and calicration tests, evaluation and  complete to the patent application procedures.

Development of an Integrated Intelligent System Software Intended for Solar Panel Construction Alternatives in SMEs

Summary:
Turkey is one of the advantageus countries thet can utilize from solar enegy in large fields by considering the solar radiation intensity and annual sunshine duration. Hitherto, the most common method for utilizing the solar energy is providing hot water from different kinds of solar collectors. In recent years, by means of small scale solar panel applications (household, traffic signs, road lightning, garden lightning) meeting the small postion of the required electric energy by solar system have been started. However, these implementations are still on a small scale without any model projections. Apart from these, no concrete models have been developed for the awareness and utilization of solar panel particularly in SME. For this reason computer aided designing and modeling of solar panel systems to meet the enegy requirements of SMEs at different locations of Turkey is thought to be very significant for providing the opmimal enegy benefits.  Basing on the mentioned need, the members of this project team has developed initial model software for meeting the household electricity requirements. The pilot testing of this initial software has not been conducted yet. Accordingly, flexible solutions have been provided for supplying electricity from solar panels (in each city) considering the user needs and observation data (solar radiation intensity, daily sunshine duration, average monthly temperature and latitude) obtained form EIE and State Meteorological Service. This model study has been presented in a panel organized by OSTIM in order to share the experiences between university and industry. A great portion of demands and coopearion proposals were received from different indusrial sectors for the adaptation of the model to their sector.

 

However, the above mentioned intial software was limited for the household requirements and stable panels and yet can not be able to provide solutions for solar tracking systems. As yet, there are no concrete studies and data for the electricity production of solar tracking systems at different regions of Turkey. As well as those, studies regarding the coversion of the solar panel produced electricity into the industrial voltage (380 V) are very limited.  In the context of this project, primarily correction factors based on the analysis of data obtained from solar tracking system will be assessed and a prototype system that can indicate the electricity coverage of the SMEs by solar panels will be developed. Considering the other correction factors together with the average SME Industry workbench quantity and power demand, intelligent software will be developed for designing the stable panels and solar tracking systems appropriate for the regional conditions of the related SME. The software will be also able to compare the investment with the long term enegy profit. The model will be also integrated with the factor energy distribution and tracking of enegy automation.

Design and Prototype Manufacturing of Halva Molding, Cooling and Cutting System

Summary:

Within the content of this project; a helva molding, cooling and cutting system design and prototype manufacturing which will provide helva production without waiting 24 hours for cooling and hand molding process is aimed.

The unique molding and cutting system will obtain the hot ingredients automatically and molds with the help of surface and the rollers in the mixing unite. Also with the shaping unite, the helva will be cutted in the wanted shapes, cooled and ready for packaging. With this way, the existing rough and costly process will be replaced with faster and cheaper process.

The company is producing huge amounts of helva and provides the market with diffrenet dimensions. The existing helva molding, cooling and cutting process not only unefficient but also increase the helva losts. During this project, the unique helva molding, cooling and cutting system will produce more qualified helva and decreases the costs. The obtained unique system at the end of project will be market to other national and international companies who are also producing large amounts of helva. In this way, it will help tour countries export.The most significant innovative side of the project is combinig the ingredients obtainment, molding and cutting process on one system and obtaing faster, more efficient, less lost during the helva production. By using this system, the company can increase the helva production capacity.
